Notes
I've returned, but I've diverged from my go-to soulmate AU?
     Incredible.
I'm very sorry if this is inaccurate, I did not do in-depth research.
I only watched a few YouTube videos and read a little online. I wrote
Izuku with an articulation speech impediment/disorder, but again, I
did not research extensively and I do not mean to insult anyone if I
wrote it incorrectly (which I'm sure I did, I've only been around a
     few people with this).
Apologies for OOC characters and any typos! No beta, I'm on muh own
     with these :3

“Good morning class—Kirishima, get your ass to your seat— I hope you all had a
good vacation and all that, welcome to your second year of high school, what a
joy to be reunited again,” Aizawa said, facing his class with an air of
exhausted acceptance. Bakugo Katsuki thought he looked like he wanted to bitch
slap Eijirou who had his feet propped onto his desk and was already looking out
the window rather that at their instructor.
“We have a new addition to A-1 this year, he’ll be a part of your class until
graduation,” Aizawa continued before proceeding to lie on the floor (as per
usual) and wave a hand into the air to instruct the silent boy by the door to
come forward. Katsuki raised a brow. Didn’t even see him there, quiet fucker,
huh.
The boy stepped forward with a stubborn but decidedly nervous gait and gave a
grin to the class. Katsuki decided he didn’t (did) like him after his skin
prickled, stomach swooped and eyes widened marginally. Then the boy (with
fucking green, curly hair, it stood out almost as much as Eijirou’s) took a
deep breath and said, “Hi, I’m am- I am – Midoriya Izuku.” Midoyira spoke
slowly, but his voice was much deeper than Katsuki anticipated. Katsuki rolled
his eyes and looked over at Eijirou as if to say, “can you believe this guy?”
but Eijirou still wasn’t paying attention to the front of the room. Typical.
Katsuki looked forward again when Midoriya continued, “I have a speech, uh
speech, impediment.” Great, Katsuki thought, sighing before doodling a mushroom
cloud in his journal, complete with flames and sparks flying into the lined
paper. “I’m excited to be here, and I’m sorry if I… annoy… any of yous- you
when I speak, I sometimes get words mixed up, and uh, stutter and it can b-be
hard to speak mu-my thoughts.”
Katsuki snorted slightly towards the desk but didn’t look up from his paper
until he heard Aizawa say, “you can sit in that empty seat in front of Bakugo.
Yeah, the one that looks like a delinquent.” Katsuki’s head shot up and he
glared at Aizawa’s unregretful expression before Midoriya walked over and gave
Katsuki a nervous smile. He has freckles everywhere, Katsuki thought, his
expression blank and giving nothing away as Midoriya glanced around uncertainly
and set down his book bag. The scent of fresh baked bread wafted over Katsuki.
Katsuki’s eye’s narrowed when he watched Midoriya sit down, all control and
grace. His pants were tighter around the thighs, and Katsuki definitely did not
think about how his legs were most likely ripped underneath the fabric. This
fucking dipshit is nothing, get your dick under control, shit. Luckily, the
uniform jacket left a lot to the imagination (all baggy and non form-fitting)
and Katsuki gave all of his attention (93%) to Aizawa. Thankfully, he enjoyed
chemistry.
During lunch, Katsuki heard Midoriya’s voice from across the caf, and whipped
his head around to his own irritation. His lunch tray was nearly forgotten in
his hands while he stood in front of Ochako, Four Eyes and the newbie. “Yeah, I
wanna to- want to apply with- for clubs like cross-country and basketball!”
Midoriya said to them, looking over the lunch options avidly. Katsuki was
definitely not wishing that Midoriya would try out for cross-country because
Katsuki was also in the club.
“Well, what’s stopping you from applying?” Ochako said, her eyes wide and
excited (who fucking knew why) as she picked out an apple from the fruit tray.
“Wasn’t allowed las year, harsh-hard to say when excer-ex-excited,” Midoriya
sighed, grabbing a red bean bun and biting into it right away. Katsuki was
definitely not staring at the new kid in the middle of the caf, unable to tear
his eyes away from the movement of his lips and the cadence of his speech. As
much as Katsuki wanted it to be annoying, it wasn’t. Midoriya was stubborn, and
he continued to talk and chatter and mess up and try again over and over before
succeeding.
“Dude, are you going to sit down, like ever?” Katsuki tore his gaze away from
the now-laughing Midoriya and immediately started walking over to his table
with a curious Eijirou. “Why were you staring at him?”
“I wasn’t staring at anyone,” Katsuki growled, slamming his tray onto the table
and sitting down with fierce movements.
“Is it Uraraka? You like her?”
“What the fuck, no I don’t like Ochako, shit man,” Katsuki flared his nostrils
at the state of his chicken katsu (soggy and barely warm) before picking up his
apple and biting into it aggressively.
“Yeah, but you call her by her first name. What’s up with that?” Eijirou said,
wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. “You don’t even do that for people you’ve
slept with.”
Katsuki rested his head on the table in mock defeat. “She fucking kicked my ass
at sparring on multiple accounts during P.E. last year, she’s a fucking force
to be reckoned with.” Katsuki perched his chin on the table and let his eyes
stray to the table where Ochako, all-to-serious Four Eyes and Midoriya sat.
Looks like he’s already got a group. “And I don’t sleep around like you,
Eijirou, there were only like two people and they don’t even go to Yuuei. Don’t
even try to use logic, you’ll hurt yourself.”
Eijirou gasped as if hurt. “Me? Sleep around? Never,” he snickered, grinning
devilishly at his new conquest from across the room, a blond and slightly
spastic dude from their class. Katsuki let Eijirou do his thing and thought
about the group of three approximately two tables away.
I respect Round Face. She’s badass and kind, which I can’t say the same for in
my case, Katsuki thought but didn’t utter out loud. That wasn’t exactly a
Number One thing to admit. And now she’s taken in the new kid… Katsuki bit into
his apple again, wiping the juice from his lips awkwardly when Midoriya looked
over and made eye-contact with him. It was such a piercing look that Katsuki
couldn’t look away, couldn’t even finish chewing until Midoriya cocked his head
to the side with a hesitant grin on his face. Katsuki swiveled his head to look
in the opposite direction, his cheeks not burning and no, he wasn’t concerned
about choking on the apple juice. He coughed a few times and ignored Eijirou’s
snickers from across the table.
~
Katsuki repeatedly made a fool of himself by trying to talk to Midoriya and
essentially failing when things like, “fucking look where you’re going,” came
out instead of, “sorry I bumped into you.” There were memorable ones like,
“Fucking hurry up, dead last,” when Midoriya was chatting with Ochako at the
classroom door and would be called out by Aizawa if he didn’t hurry the fuck
up. There was also the daily, “you eat that shit? Fucking trash,” when Midoriya
picked out the meat special which definitely could give him food poisoning.
Essentially, Katsuki sounded like a complete ass and failed to communicate his
concerns in a healthy, normal way. Bless.
The week progressed with multiple events occurring every day, and by Friday,
Midoriya didn’t make eye contact with Katsuki when he sat at his desk directly
in front of Katsuki. Katsuki sulked at the rejection, but admitted (quietly and
when alone) that it was really his fault Midoriya was nervous around him. But
those freckles captivated Katsuki’s attention, and he listened so closely that
nothing else existed when Midoriya spoke.
Katsuki picked up how Midoriya mixed up his words more when he was excited or
nervous, and noticed that he tried to speak slowly when talking in front of big
groups. It made Katsuki smile (on the inside, Katsuki’s smiles were said to be
fearsome indeed) when Midoriya slowed down his words while answering Aizawa’s
questions during class. He was very smart and very stubborn, and Katsuki often
saw him writing in a worn, brown journal during lunch. Katsuki spent way too
many brain cells contemplating what Midoriya wrote about in those pages.
Three weeks had passed before Katsuki successfully spoke to Midoriya. Katsuki’s
self-criticizing persona couldn’t even be proud of the meager “good morning,”
he uttered one Tuesday morning. It took you this long—this fucking long—to say
good morning, you’re such a fucking imbecile, Katsuki thought angrily. His eyes
most likely conveyed his anger, which was probably why Midoriya physically
jumped at the greeting and squeaked out a jumbled, “goose-goon-good! Good
morning!” Before sitting down ramrod straight and facing forward all of class.
Katsuki’s head thumped onto the desk with a resounding boom and he cursed his
lack of niceties and (appropriate) conversation starters. Because telling
Midoriya that he watched him running on the track during cross-country and
admired the sculpt of his shoulders in the beating sun was decidedly not the
way to go. (To say Katsuki was glad Midoriya joined a club Katsuki was already
a part of was an understatement).
It was even more hopeless when Eijirou caught onto whom exactly Katsuki was
eyeing throughout the day. “Oh-ho-ho! Mamma goose here? Into the whole taking
in strays thing?” He had punched Katsuki lightly on the shoulder and Katsuki
didn’t even think before gripping Eijirou by the shirt and slamming him into
the lockers.
“Don’t talk about him that way,” Katsuki snarled before letting Eijirou go and
stepping back with taught shoulders and a clenched jaw. Katsuki had the good
grace to apologize shortly a moment later, which Eijirou whistled at and filed
away for later consideration. He straightened out his uniform and observed
Katsuki with a new, calculating stare. “Don’t look at me that way, either,”
Katsuki said, rubbing the back of his head in slight embarrassment. “It’s like
you understand something, or some shit.”
“You really like him, huh. But you’re always such an ass to him…? How the fuck
does that compute?” Katsuki angrily grabbed his composition and literature
books from his locker before slamming it and walking to class without looking
back. “Those were all accidents?!” Eijirou squawked. “Oh fuck! This is too
good!” He wisely kept a few steps behind the fiery blond when a threatening
fist was lowered to Katsuki’s side. “Dude, you need help. Ask him out to
coffee, he drinks that shit like it’s water.”
It wasn’t a bad idea, but Katsuki didn’t give anything away to let Eijirou know
that. (Eijirou knew regardless, being incredibly observant in spite of his
nonchalant personality).
So here Katsuki stood, beside the track after running a mile in the scorching
sun (which he made with a time of 5:32. Pathetic, gotta do better to be number
one). He was breathing heavily and watching as Midoriya completed his last lap.
Wiping the sweat from his face with the bottom of his shirt, Katsuki didn’t see
Midoriya glace over at the perfect moment to get an eyeful of Katsuki’s toned
abs and promptly stumble over his own feet. Katsuki did see, however, the
emerald-haired runner catch himself wildly before sprinting to the end of the
lap. He’s still a weirdo, though.
When Midoriya jogged to a stop a few yards from Katsuki, Katsuki steeled
himself and walked stiffly over to the gorgeous, glimmering, fucking built
source of Katsuki’s affection. Midoriya was gasping, probably due to his final
sprint, and was pacing in a circle to cool down. “Oh, h-hey, Bak-Baka-Bakugo,”
Midoriya said, his deep breathes making his chest heave and the tight white
tank stretch over his visible pecs.
“Hey, Midoriya,” Katsuki responded with no expletives, to his own pride. “You
liking Yuuei so far? Aizawa is okay, but band with Mic is fucking annoying.”
Midoriya glanced around as if expecting to be attacked from the side. Katsuki
narrowed his eyes at that. Midoriya settled for a nod and slight shrug of his
shoulders. “What, you don’t agree?” Midoriya looked a little panicked and just
shrugged again. “Why don’t you say anything? Spit it out, dude.”
“Sock-sur-sorry!” Midoriya squeaked before taking a couple steps back and
grabbing his water to chug from. What is he sorry about? Is talking to me
really that bad? Katsuki thought back to all the harsh things he had accidently
let out during the past month. Alright maybe it is. Fuck.
“Don’t be- fuck, I mean-“ Katsuki shook his head. I’m really bad at this. How
does Ochako do it? Katsuki thought carefully about his words before saying
them, and briefly wondered how much he could accomplish by doing that more
often. “I know we don’t speak much in class, probably because I sound like a
fucking asshole, and that’s—well, yeah I can be, but it’s sort of… not on
purpose. Shit, um, do you want to get coffee sometime? With me? Not in the caf,
like in town or something ornotatallthat’sfinetoo.” Katsuki hastily backtracked
when Midoriya’s eyes widened further and further with every word that Katsuki
spoke and he couldn’t help but panic slightly because damn I really fucked this
whole situation up the asshole.
The words that came out of Midoriya’s mouth next were completely unintelligible
and muttered under his breath, and Katsuki swore he was only expelling carbon
dioxide. His speech was all jumbled up and Katsuki seriously wondered if he had
broken something. Wouldn’t be the first time, Katsuki thought. “Fuck, stop
muttering Midoriya, I have no idea what you’re saying.” Midoriya looked up and
stopped speaking entirely, inhaling deeply and wrinkling his brows in confusion
and… something else. Shit shit SHIT. “No, not because of your impediment, I
can’t fucking hear you when you talk quietly like that, dammit, I like
listening to you talk, it’s fine, you’re good,” Katsuki said and full-on put
his hand over his face in defeat. “I’m really bad at this,” Katsuki muttered.
“W-why?” Midoriya said, his voice stable but still nervous.
Answer honestly, that’s what Ochako does, right?
“I want to know you better,” Katsuki answered bluntly. Midoriya blushed, he
fucking blushed, his tanned, freckled cheeks flaring slightly with a ruby hue.
“This sounds really gay, huh.” Midoriya pinched his lips together as if trying
not to laugh or smile, but something changed in his eyes. “I guess it is kinda
gay. I mean, I’m- yeah. If that’s something you’re not cool with, then… I don’t
fucking know. Whatever.” It was something Katsuki had rolled around in his mind
for a while. Would Midoriya be okay the fact that Katsuki’s intentions were not
all platonic? Would he want to be friends regardless? Or would he be one of
those homophobic assholes that spouted pointless hate and violence into their
surroundings? After Katsuki’s careful observations, he predicted that Midoriya
would not fit into the latter category.
“I love coffein-heh, coffee,” Midoriya chuckled, glancing at Katsuki through
his lashes and rubbing his sweaty arms with equally sweaty hands. That
shouldn’t be appealing but it is.
“Coffeine. I’ll take it,” Katsuki said, letting a tiny smile cross his lips.
“Coffee and caffeine combined. Fucking number one.” Midoriya laughed and
nodded, his posture relaxing moment by moment. Score one to Katsuki, bitch yes.
“Friday after class we can meet up at the front gates? We don’t have practice
on Fridays… unless that’s too soon…?” Unfamiliar territory, again. Midoriya
nodded enthusiastically. It occurred to Katsuki that Midoriya might be
uncomfortable talking around him because Katsuki intimidated him. That really
bothered Katsuki. “And uh, even if you already know this, I like your voice.
And how you talk. So don’t, like, hide from me or anything. I’m not going to
get mad or some shit.” Please, Katsuki added in his mind.
“You dun-don’t talk to me evesh-ever, and when you d-do, you’re alwal-always
anger. Angry. How was I suppose. Supposed. To know?” Midoriya still had a
prominent blush on his cheeks, but he appeared pleased with Katsuki’s words.
This is the most I’ve heard him talk to me. A bubble of satisfaction floated in
Katsuki’s chest. “How’re- How do I know you’re not. Lying. To me now?”
“I’m not,” Katsuki bit out, his loud voice startling Midoriya into taking a
step backwards. Katsuki sighed. “I’m not good with words, Midoriya. I don’t
know what to say, and what comes out is usually… not what should. It fucking
sucks. I’m... sorry for saying all those things to you.” Katsuki raked his
fingers through his sweaty hair, grateful for the patch of shade they were
under. Midoriya assessed him quietly for a few moments. Katsuki didn’t breathe
in case it would disrupt the analysis being made of him by the god of fucking
Adonis figures mere feet away. It really should be illegal to wear a shirt like
that on the track. Midoriya blinked slowly and a smile slipped onto his face as
he bent down to stick his water bottle into his cross country bag.
“See you t-tomorrow, then, Bakugo. In class?” He’s calmed down, his words are
less clumped.
“Yeah,” Katsuki agreed, recognizing the end of their conversation. “And uh,
Friday? What, uh…”
“Yes,” Midoriya said simply before shouldering his bag and waving back as he
walked to All Might, their cross-country coach, to let him know he had run his
end-of-practice laps. Fucking explodo-killed it, Katsuki thought with a smirk.
~
Oddly enough, the walk to Hiro’s Café two days later wasn’t awkward at all.
Katsuki complained about their reading assignment in comp and lit, and Midoriya
chattered about his fascination of their history material.
“And I dun-don’t really like chemer— Chemistry. Harder than. Mathematics. I get
lost in the equations. And entropy? I’m just—“ Izuku gesticulated into the
spring breeze with obvious irritation, his hands popping open like, “yeah
that’s my knowledge, lost to the wind.”
“I fucking love chemistry,” Katsuki said, more than a little excited that he
could potentially help Midoriya with something. “If you want,” Katsuki added
while opening the door to Hiro’s Café, “I could maybe help you a little?”
Midoriya was already all eyes for the coffee price board, and he wandered over
while somehow keeping his body slightly turned towards Katsuki. Katsuki smiled,
his eyes downcast. “I mean, there’s that whole thing where teaching someone
something helps you understand it better too, so it’s not like I would be held
back.” Midoriya appeared to be lost in the fumes of espresso and didn’t
comment. Katsuki rolled his eyes and instead pulled out his wallet as Midoriya
ordered.
“One venti, uh, dark roas-roast co-coffee. N-no room. Please!” Katsuki was
satisfied that the cashier took it all in stride and didn’t comment.
“Here or to go?” Midoriya glanced over his shoulder and Katsuki nodded.
“Here,” Katsuki said. “I also want an iced tea. Um, medium, or whatever it’s
called. Tall?”
“Gr-grande,” Midoriya corrected, smiling and glancing at the pastry display.
Katsuki paid before Midoriya could argue and they found a spot outside of the
sun’s glaring heat and further in the air-conditioned café. Midoriya munched on
a blueberry scone, the sugar spilling onto the table and he squished his
eyebrows together in concern at the mess. He took a sip of his coffee (black)
and sighed in satisfaction. “It’s so hot, how can you drink that?” Katsuki
asked, messing with the straw of his iced tea (two sugars). He pretended he
didn’t notice Midoriya’s eyes on his tongue, and definitely didn’t make a show
of licking his lips after every sip.
“T-tastes better. Iced makes become all. Watery. And bitter.” They drank and
ate in fairly companionable silence for a few moments, then Midoriya added,
“So, Bakugo, is this—“
“Call me Katsuki,” Katsuki interrupted. Hearing his family name with that voice
had been grating on his nerves for weeks now. Talk to me, only me. Midoriya
covered his shock quickly and chuckled before taking another bite of his scone.
“Katsa-Kast-Kat.Su.Ki.” Midoriya rolled his eyes at his own stumbling speech
before trying again. “Kats—ah. Kaachan.” Katsuki blushed to his ears. Midoriya
smiled and leaned back in his chair, very satisfied with the modification.
“Easier,” Midoriya said, brushing the sugar crumbs on the table into his pastry
bag. “Less letters and. Syllables. So. Kaachan, is th-this a date?” Katsuki
took a long draught of his iced tea, nearly emptying the glass, and his heart
rate was completely fucking stable, so don’t fucking mention it thank you.
“I think it is,” Katsuki said, twirling the straw between the leftover ice
cubes and staring directly into those pine-green eyes that sparkled and glowed
like fresh leaves.
“Mmm,” Midoriya assented, finishing off the scone and sipping on his coffee.
“So. Getting to know eash-each other. I wanna know you too, Kaachan.” Katuski
swore Midoriya was using the new nickname because he fucking saw the blush on
his ears every time. “What do you r-read? What do you wanna become when you-
you’re graduated?”
Katsuki settled back and talked about himself in a way that he hadn’t really
done for anyone before. He told Midoriya how he like sci-fi books like Dune and
less-intense ones like the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, as well as
dystopian novels like Brave New World. He shared how he was looking into
chemical engineering and modern ways of creating useable and sustainable
energy, but he wasn’t sure how he would do it because he had a hard time
working with teams. “I want to be fucking number one… but I don’t want anyone
else’s help to get there.” Katsuki looked down ruefully before resituating
himself and coughing. “Cross that shitty bridge when I get to it.”
Katsuki asked simpler questions and learned that Midoriya liked the color
burgundy but it clashed with his hair so he didn’t wear it often. (“What about
your bright-ass red shoes?” “That’s d-different! They’re on my feet, which is
fa-far from my hair. And red isn’t. Burgundy.”) He learned that Midoriya loved
cats and was considering a career as a policeman, but was worried that his
speech would make it hard for him to communicate in times of stress. Katsuki
didn’t know what to say to this other than, “You’re smart and you care about
people. It would be a good fit.”
An hour passed and Katsuki admitted that he needed to grab groceries for dinner
and make his way home before his mom clawed his ears off. “This was n-nice,
Kaachan,” Midoriya said, a spring in his step that Katsuki hoped was because of
him but may have been due to the fucking boat of caffeine Midoriya drank.
“Again? Next week? Same clock-uh, time?” Katsuki hadn’t agreed to something so
fast all year.
~
Izuku began to seek Katsuki out during school after the First Date. Katsuki
felt like preening his mating feathers and strutting about like a proud peacock
until Eijirou literally punched the attitude out of him. Katsuki settled for
satisfied expressions and less aggressive behavior.
Ochako was having a god damn field day after Katsuki began spending time with
her and Four Eyes, excited to chat with her favorite sparring partner and grill
him with questions about what he liked about Izuku. He tolerated her, if only
because he respected her and Izuku too much to be an utter ass to her.
“Kaachan, can we sit with you and Eijirou today?” Katsuki blushed slightly at
the use of the nickname, but scooted over all the same with a fierce (soft)
expression. Throughout lunch, Izuku laughed and chatted amicably with everyone
at the table and was especially interested in Eijirou’s new Conquest. The dude
had half white and half red hair. Katsuki immediately didn’t give a shit for
his pompous ass. Eijirou swore up and down to Katsuki that this one was a
keeper and he wasn’t going to sleep around with anyone else, but Katsuki was
skeptical and still didn’t know the guy’s name.
“Todoroki. Nice to meet you!” Katsuki nearly bristled at the warm greeting
while Eijirou almost fell off the bench in laughter. While Katsuki spat curses
at his fuckmuncher of a friend, Izuku rested a hand on Katsuki’s thigh, which,
understandably, shut him up immediately. But I still wanna punch that shit-
eating grin off your face, Eijirou.
On the Second Date, Midoriya insisted that Katsuki call him Izuku. “It’s so
formal, and it’s not me. I’m Izuku.” Similar to how I thought about it, too,
Katsuki thought. After he said Izuku’s name, Izuku smiled and said, “I like.
Your voice too. S-sounds nice when you say my name.” Katsuki didn’t refer to
him as anything else after that.
On the Fourth Date, Katsuki officially asked Izuku out as his boyfriend, to
which Izuku frowned and asked, “We weren’t already?” And so began their first
minor argument.
They began studying and spending time with each other at their houses. Inko,
Izuku’s mom, baked and cooked every day, which would explain why Izuku often
smelled like fresh bread and cookies at school. She was plump and kind and
Katsuki secretly adored her. Inko not-so-secretly adored Katsuki in return and
forced loads of pastries into his bag before he left every night he visited.
Katsuki’s mom knew as soon as Katsuki came home after the First Date that
something had happened. “Tell me, you little shit.” Katsuki cursed his old hag
and spat out that he was seeing someone. And may have announced he was home
after the Fourth Date with, “We’re fucking official, so don’t ask!” before
retreating to his room. (Mom stomped upstairs and told him not to yell in the
house before bodily dragging him back down to help with dinner while saying,
“just because you aren’t single doesn’t mean you don’t fucking do your part
around the house.”)
It was surprising when Izuku first came to the Bakugo establishment and was
introduced as Katsuki’s boyfriend. The bluntness of Katsuki was becoming less
alarming, but Izuku may have choked on his own spit and stumble even more than
usual for 10-12 odd minutes. Katsuki smiled lightly and his parents simply
sighed in relief at the affectionate hand on Izuku’s lower back. Their rash,
aggressive son hadn’t fucked up in this domain, then.
~
The morning was fresh and Izuku’s lips were suddenly on Katsuki’s, hard and
nipping at his chapped skin and so so good. Katsuki inhaled sharply and curled
an arm around Izuku’s shoulders, cupping Izuku’s head in his large hand and
reciprocating with an enthused moan (whimper). Izuku laughed and broke away,
his sweaty bangs pushed back with a shaking hand. “What—“ Katsuki blinked
owlishly at the green-haired beauty. “You—I wasn’t expecting—“
“You weren’t gonna-going to do anything,” Izuku said, tying his curls into a
rushed pony as the light changed. “Come on, Kaachan!” Katsuki watched those
calves pump and ass flex as Izuku ran across the intersection and forced
himself to do the same, his mind whirling. Morning run going same as usual and
then out of no where?
Katsuki caught up with Izuku and regained a pace that matched his. “I didn’t
want to go too fast,” Katsuki huffed, turning with the sidewalk.
“Kaachan,” Izuku whined. “It’s been weeks! It’s almost the end of fir-first
term!” The sun was rising, and in June, it was wise to finish their run before
10am. Luckily they only had a few more blocks before they reached the end of
their circuit. Katsuki sighed and waited to respond until they jogged to a stop
at Izuku’s house. “So,” Izuku said, hands on his hips and tongue wetting his
lips. “Is it too soon?”
“No, I just—don’t want to fuck anything up? I was such an ass in the beginning
and-“
“And t-that was all accidents, wasn’t it?” Izuku confronted, unlocking the door
and waving Katsuki to follow him inside. The cool air felt shockingly good on
Katsuki’s flushed skin. “You didn’t know how to be a d-decent person.”
“Ha ha,” Katsuki sneered before gripping Izuku’s sides and digging his fingers
in. Izuku laughed, struggling with his back pressed against Katsuki’s stomach,
all soft skin and hard muscle. Katsuki let his hands rest gently on Izuku’s
hips and propped his chin onto Izuku’s warm shoulder. “You lifting later
today?”
“Stop chan- Changing the subject,” Izuku said, looking over his shoulder and
pressing his nose into Katsuki’s cheek. “If it’s too soon, if you’re not read-
ready, that’s okay Kaachan.”
“I’m ready,” Katsuki growled, his voice rumbling through Izuku’s spine. “But… I
want to go farther. And I don’t want to make you fucking uncomfortable or
anything, I’m—damn, Izuku I’m actually really happy to just be around you, so.
There’s no rush?” Izuku turned in Katsuki’s grip and gave him a raised brow and
defiant glare.
“You think I don’t want to go farther? Kaachan, you’re fuck-fucking beautiful.
I am very inclined to jump you at cross-country. You give my-me a heart attack
nearly every practice.”
Katsuki laughed and curled one hand into Izuku’s wind-strewn locks, the pony
falling out already. Him and his fucking random swear words, slay me. “Well I
want all of this,” Katsuki whispered, raking his fingers through Izuku’s hair
and removing the loose hair tie. “All of it. I want to hear you make noises for
me in bed, only for me. What about you?” The other hand swept down from Izuku’s
hip to his thigh, and then back up to his ass. Izuku inhaled sharply and his
eyes became five times brighter than before. His freckles popped on his sun-
kissed face and Katsuki wanted to find all of them across his entire body, and
kiss every one himself.
“I can’t give you the bed right now,” Izuku whispered slowly, his voice
incredibly steady. It made Katsuki’s toes curl and heart pound against his
ribcage. “But my mom won’t be home until afternoon. And I need to shower. And
y-you need to shower too.” Izuku walked backwards to the stairs. Katsuki
followed, unable to look away. “Shower with me?” He said, tilting his head up
and licking his lips just one more time.
“Yes.” Katsuki left all pretenses at the door and hoisted Izuku by the thighs
and onto Katsuki’s hips. The hot water nearly ran out as they explored each
other’s bodies. Izuku’s moans were just as addictive as Katsuki imagined they
would be.
~
The beginning of the new term started with a joint school field trip with
Shiketsu to Tokyo. Izuku was thrilled to visit and wanted to collect an
internship application from the Tokyo Police Department. Katsuki was simply
looking forward to getting out of the classroom.
When they reached the bustling streets in the center of Tokyo, Katsuki gazed
around in partial wonder and partial disgust. “So fucking busy,” he whistled.
The city surrounding Yuuei was nothing compared to this wild, time-dependent
plethora of people and technology.
Eijirou nudged him from his left. “Dude, are they bullying Midoriya?” Katsuki
spun around to see students from Shiketsu crowded around Izuku, whether out of
choice or necessity, Katsuki couldn’t tell. Everyone was more or less huddled
together until their homeroom teachers gave everyone instructions for the day.
However… the body language of two in particular near Izuku sent sirens off in
Katsuki’s mind.
Izuku stood tall regardless of the negative attention. Katsuki felt a burning
in his gut as well as pride. Izuku could take care of himself. But just in
case… Katsuki paced a little closer and heard the nearby girl say, “What’s the
matter? Cat got your tongue?”
“He can’t talk very well, Toga, give the disabled a break,” the guy said,
turning away in disinterest. Katsuki stiffened, but stayed put.
“I-I’m not di- dis-A-bled. I have a a speech impediment,” Izuku said, regarding
them coolly. “I’m s-sorry if it bothers you.” Katsuki could tell Izuku was
nervous, but fuck if my beautiful god isn’t strong. I won’t do anything to
screw up that pride.
“Yeah, that’s what I said. Dis-A-Bled.” The mocking fed a couple laughs, but
most students looked at the guy in disgust. Izuku glanced around and saw
Katsuki standing nearby, ready to jump in and visibly restraining himself if
the clenched fist at his side was anything to go by. And Izuku grinned so
bright and grateful that Katsuki felt his whole face light up with the heat of
it.
“Enjoy Tokyo, Dabi, Toga. This dis-disabled kid has a boyfriend to get to,”
Izuku simpered before promptly gliding over to Katsuki on those marvelous legs.
Katsuki set his enraged gaze on the other students and sneered, unable to keep
the, “pathetic,” from slipping out. The guy, Dabi, wasn’t particularly fond of
that. Too bad Katsuki had no shits to give.
“Hey Kaachan,” Izuku murmured. “I… thanks.” Katsuki turned Izuku around so he
was eye to eye with him.
“Izuku, never apologize for your speech.” Izuku’s posture stiffened and his
eyes became slightly steely. Shit, I don’t want to sound like I’m trying to
tell you how to live your fucking life, shit. “You did it at the beginning of
the school year and I heard you say it again to them. It’s part of you, and
you’re incredible. Don’t apologize for being who you are.” Katsuki barely
managed to bite back the following words and swallowed thickly, ‘I love you’
spinning wildly in his gut. Way too fucking soon. Way. Too. Fucking. Soon.
“Kaachan…” Izuku whispered. “And not even a single c-curse word?” Katsuki
rolled his eyes.
“No you god damn fuckmuncher. Better?”
“Okay. Y-yes,” Izuku laughed. Katsuki could feel him positively giddy with
excitement beside him and it continued throughout the entire trip. Katsuki may
have sent daggers at Dabi and Toga whenever he saw them and Izuku may have
repeatedly berated him for it. Eijirou definitely snickered the whole time.
~
Katsuki: Forgot to ask you earlier, you have plans for the holidays? Family is
getting together for New Years Eve and New Years, you and Inko are invited.
Katsuki waited impatiently, glaring at his history homework as if it had
personally wronged him. The chime of his phone (a combination of bells and
violin that sounded like the entrance of an angel) had Katsuki dropping his pen
and collapsing onto his bed in record time.
Izuku: Really?! :D Mom says we’re free! Where? What time?
Katsuki grinned while texting his reply.
Katsuki: K, I’ll let mom know. And not sure time yet, it’s fucking November.
Fam wouldn’t make it unless started planning early, cuz we’re all fucking
hopeless.
Katsuki: It’ll be at my crazy aunt’s in Hokkaido.
Izuku: Ohh okay, cool. Fun!
Izuku: What’re you up to?
Izuku: Wish I had done better at the meet yesterday…
Izuku: Have you done chem hw yet?
Izuku: Will you help me?
Izuku: I wanna kiss you.
And thus, Katsuki found himself FaceTiming Izuku for 36 minutes until his mom
came up and embarrassed Katsuki by telling Izuku just how many pairs of sheets
she had to wash this month alone.
Fucking hag.
~
Final term exams and papers were killer. Katsuki didn’t feel like Number One at
all. Fuck, Izuku probably placed higher, but that would be due to his insane
study habits and brutal hours spent working on mock tests. Katsuki was
irritated that he would most likely score under Izuku, but also… okay with it.
With a good dose of jealously. But pretty okay. It's not like his grades were
awful, but they could use improvement (Eijirou literally uppercutted Katsuki
when he muttered that after getting his comp and lit essay back, the 92/100
fluttering to the ground).
Inko and Izuku went on vacation to Hawai’i for the week after finals. Izuku
snapped Katsuki pictures of everywhere he went and everyone he saw, including
his friends on the Big Island, Hunk and Lance. They watched the sunset at the
Mouna Kea Observatory where the two worked as astronomers and engineers that
helped maintain the telescopes.
Izuku also snapped quite a few of himself at a nude beach in Puna that he
managed to find on his own (Inko having been at a spa of some sort,
apparently). Katsuki nearly shattered his phone while screen-shotting those
ones. That ass. And those abs. And that grin. Katsuki growled at the ceiling
and decided he would help his mom out and do the laundry this time.
Izuku sent little voice recordings over text, saying what he was doing or
something odd he saw or, most commonly, that island poke was bomb. Katsuki
savored every word, and responded with little snippets of his life, mostly on
the state of his dick, his mood, and his uneventful morning jogs without one
Midoriya Izuku.
He didn’t know that Izuku saved every one.
~
“Kaachan.” Katsuki’s lips interrupted whatever Izuku was going to say. “I m-
missed you,” Izuku gasped, gripping Katsuki with his thighs and nothing had
ever felt so fucking delicious. “Wanted to to t-talk to y-you.” Katsuki heard
the words become more jumbled as he rolled his hips into Izuku and pushed him
farther into the mattress. “To t-taste you- oh.”
“Fuck, Izuku, how far does this tan go?” Katsuki growled, slipping the T-shirt
off Izuku’s toned shoulders and sliding his hands along Izuku’s warm skin.
Katsuki’s hands dipped below Izuku’s pants and he gripped the firm globes and
he groaned into Izuku’s shoulder, his dick already hardening in his jeans.
“Kaachan,” Izuku said, an order in his voice. Katsuki blinked and shook the
stars from his head because there are goddamn galaxies in your eyes and on your
skin, how am I not lost yet. “Let me take you.” Katsuki definitely didn’t
whimper.
“Shit,” Katsuki breathed, reaching for the lube and condoms he had stashed
under his mattress. “Shit, yeah, you can do whatever you want, I just want you,
fuck Izuku.” Izuku plucked the lube from Katsuki’s hand and set it beside him,
laying Katsuki down on the bed so fucking slowly. Katsuki kicked his pants off
and left himself bare and waiting for Izuku to fucking do something.
Izuku leaned down to press a firm kiss to Katsuki’s lips before trailing down
his neck and, without warning, sucking at the skin of his collar bone. Katsuki
hissed as Izuku bit down and lavished the bruise with kisses a moment later.
The nips and kisses continued down to his hips where Izuku gave special
attention. Suddenly, a finger was at Katsuki’s entrance, and he tensed
unconsciously. Izuku licked and kissed his inner thighs before mouthing, “calm
down,” into his skin and pressing a finger in Katsuki’s tight heat.
“Shiiiiit,” Katsuki moaned, covering his mouth with a hand because I won’t be a
fucking loud fuck, I’ll keep quiet, I’m not a screamer, I’m-- “Ah fuck, fuck,
how did you—dammit, so fast, fuck fuck fuck—“ So much for that plan.
Izuku wiggled three fingers in Katsuki, stretching and massaging the tip of
Katsuki’s prostate with slightly inexperienced fingers, but with a resolve and
gumption to reduce Katsuki to unintelligible moans and curses. Izuku licked a
stripe from the base of Katsuki’s cock up to the tip and Katsuki wasn’t even
sure what he was saying anymore, only grateful (later) that no one else was
home. Katsuki gazed down at Izuku, his eyes molten in their desire and
completely lost in the complex beauty that was Midoriya Izuku. “Fuck me, Izuku,
shit, just take me, I don’t even care if I sound like a fucking bitch in heat,
just—I want you inside, Izuku, fuck—“ Izuku leaned up and kissed Katsuki with
the abandon of a drowning man. Izuku tongue slipped around Katsuki’s teeth and
the smooth muscle curled around and around before flicking against his lips.
Ravage me, fuck.
When Izuku entered him, Katsuki broke away from Izuku’s mouth and whined into
the bedroom, as loud and unrestrained as his expletives. “Y-you’re so beauty,
shit, Kat-su-ki..” Katsuki only moaned louder at the full use of his first
name. His fingers found purchase on Izuku’s biceps, rippling and shaking as
Izuku began to thrust gently into Katsuki. Izuku’s words became mostly
randomized and compressed syllables, sentences like, “so beautiful,” “you sound
so good,” and “can’t stop kissing,” popped around Katsuki’s consciousness. But
Katsuki could really only feel as Izuku’s hot length coursed in and out of him
and he legs wrapped around Izuku in a tight chain, refusing to let go, needing
him closer and warmer and wanting to savor every piece of Izuku in this moment.
They rocked together, Katsuki moaning lurid in Izuku’s ears. Katsuki’s hands
never stopped moving, holding Izuku’s arms and neck and shoulders and ass and
scapula and thighs bent beside him and oh Izuku is fucking surrounding me.
Katsuki felt so hot, like liquid magma ran through his veins, unforgiving and
burning his sanity away, leaving only Izuku, Izuku, Izuku, to scream and moan
into sweaty skin. The words and moans that filled the air was a song of lust
and adoration, and Katsuki couldn’t get enough of his. He panted into Izuku’s
neck, biting and whimpering at the constant snap of hips against his own. This
song and dance was addictive.
Katsuki’s climax came as a surprise, sneaking up and reaching a crescendo
faster than he had ever experienced. It took him higher and higher before he
fucking screamed into Izuku’s chest, clenching around Izuku’s length and
tightening his thighs to Izuku’s hips until the waves lessened and washed
gently over Katsuki. Izuku thrust into Katsuki multiple more times before
crying out, choked and cracked and sounding distinctly like, “Kaachan”, before
he lowered himself onto Katsuki’s chest, shaking violently. “Kaachan, Kaachan,
can’t, beautiful, wantyousogoodsmellyouwon’tleggomine,” was chanted into
Katsuki’s neck, and Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku and held on as they
both drifted into an in between space.
Later, when they showered, Izuku giggled about how fucking vocal Katsuki was
while the screamer in question held himself up in the shower with one hand on
the soap rack. “Your dick broke me, you fucking dipshit. Take responsibility
and wash me.” Izuku didn’t take much convincing.
~
“You got everything?” Katsuki called into the Midoriya household. Izuku popped
his head down the stairs and implored for Katsuki to help carry his pillow to
the car because, “I get sleepy when passenger driving!” Katsuki sighed and toed
off his shoes before taking the stairs two at a time. He ran into the emerald-
haired god and gave him a swift kiss before grabbing Izuku’s favorite pillow
from the bed (known after spending a few nights in said bed). Izuku shouldered
his pack and they tromped down the stairs and out to the car, Inko already in
the driver’s seat and ready to go.
The drive was interesting (insane), in a matter of speaking. Izuku played a
variety of music that ranged from show-tunes to Disney to EXO. And he sang
along with all of it. Katsuki obviously didn’t take any videos of the ride,
complete with a dancing-in-place Izuku.
One bathroom break and a coffee stop later found the trio at Katsuki’s Aunt
Terika’s house. It was chilly and slightly windy, the fields of grasses
surrounding the house waving energetically in the twilight. Katsuki and Izuku
quickly unpacked the car and made their way to the front door. “Kaachan… I’m
going to say something path-pathetic and kinda petty.”
“Uh huh, go on.”
“W-what if, they don’t like me…? No, Kaachan, stop laughing.” Izuku pouted and
pointedly stopped looking at Katsuki when he poked Izuku with a free finger.
“Izuku, if they don’t like you, they’re insane. And my family is insane, but
not actually insane.” Standing near Izuku, Katsuki opened the door and let the
madness run over him like water.
“Katsuki, you’ve grown so much!”
“Oh, you still look like a delinquent, why don’t you fix your face, Katsuki?”
“Who’s this? Is this the boyfriend Mitsuki keeps telling me about?”
“Shit, he’s precious! Are you paying him?”
Katsuki growled and shoved past the raving family members and made his way to
his designated guest room, piling his stuff onto the floor and turning to make
sure Izuku had made it through the throng. “You good?” Katsuki asked, taking
Izuku’s pillow from him and tossing it onto the bed.
“Pretty wild,” Izuku agreed, nodding with wide eyes.
“Yeah… and I need to go back and respond this time.” Katsuki pinched his lips
together, gazing at the closed door with palpable trepidation. “You can stay
and save yourself.” A rough finger traced the lines on Katsuki’s forehead and
he looked at Izuku as he smiled softly and shook his head.
“I want to m-meet your family, Kaachan.”
And Izuku did. Katsuki’s Uncle, Aunt Terika, his maternal grandparents, his
four cousins, his paternal uncle, and his paternal great Grandfather Jericho as
well as Katsuki’s parents and Inko all fit into the three-story, country-style
house. Katsuki’s entire family immediately decided Izuku was a child meant to
be protected at all costs and continued to question him, feed him and pamper
him beyond belief before dinner. Katsuki could barely get close to him and
voiced his complaints loudly and with plenty of curses, but to no avail. Izuku
was lost in the arms of family. But he was smiling and laughing, and Katsuki
watched from afar while spending time with his favorite cousin, Ban. They drank
and chatted about life in general, Katsuki constantly keeping an eye on Izuku.
Dinner came and went in a flurry of hands and loud conversation (arguments).
Katsuki managed to sit next to Izuku, physically shoving his sixteen-year-old
cousin Diane from the seat before taking it himself. He brushed against Izuku
occasionally, reassuring Izuku (reassuring himself) that they were beside each
other.
More booze was distributed as the family waited for midnight, which was still a
couple hours out. Izuku became delightfully tipsy and refused to sit anywhere
but on Katsuki’s lap. Katsuki had to make sure he didn’t move after a while
because… well, Izuku’s ass is not to be reckoned with.
When everyone crowded outside to shoot off fireworks into the first hours of
the new day, Izuku pressed himself close to Katsuki and kissed his neck with
unabashed giddiness. “Kaachan, I got you somes-something,” he said, grinning
and reaching into his back pocket. “It’s not much, and and you don’t need to
wear it, but I had help and I think you’ll like it, but maybe it’s a little
cheesy, so don-don’t laugh at me!”
“I won’t laugh at it, baka-Izuku,” Katsuki responded, curious and more than a
little guilty for not having anything to give in return. Izuku pulled out a
bone-carved fishing hook with intricate spirals, chevrons and other patterns
etched into the medium. It was tied to a handmade twine that could synch to
become longer or shorter. Katsuki took it into his hands carefully, feeling the
slender hook and shining bone with awe. “My friend Hunk carved it! I asked him
ba-back in November when you asked me to come here with you… and then I helped
him do the finishing touches when he-I visited!” Izuku held the backs of
Katsuki’s hands and softly stroked his fingers. “He’s really good, he learned
from his dad. He’s Polynesian, you know? It’s the, the best when he’s able to
show me all the local spots, b-but he was busier this time and couldn’t come
with us. But I got this! Is it… okay?” Katsuki blinked a few times until he was
sure he was safe before slipping the necklace on and letting is settle
comfortably onto his sternum. Its weight was perfect on his skin, and the
polished bone felt even better than the soft shirt he wore under his jacket.
“Perfect,” Katsuki murmured. “Everything about you is fucking perfect, Izuku.”
Explosions sounded behind the two and even more alcohol was opened as the whole
family cheered, “Happy New Year!” into the cloudy, cold night. Fireworks sang
in the sky and splattered the dark gray with red, purple and greens that could
never compare to Izuku’s eyes.
“Happy New Y-year, Kaachan,” Izuku whispered. “Can... can you stop being so
serious and say fuck or some-something?” Katsuki laughed, loud and booming and
deep, so rumbling that Izuku held on for dear life and couldn’t help but laugh
along with him.
“Happy Fucking New Year, you god damned fuckmuncher of a shit stain. Better?”
“Yeah, haha, tha-that’s better, Kaachan. Now kiss me!”
Katsuki’s phone background was definitely not changed to one of them kissing
with fireworks bursting in the background. Not a chance.
